2002: Senior Emily Hoaglan has ridden her way to the top in her second year competing at the college ranks ... she recorded three top finishes in Walk-Trot before qualifying for regionals and moving to beginner WTC, where she recorded another first-place finish ... qualified for zones after recording her first regional championship, and secured a spot at nationals after winning her first zone championship ... added to her individual awards at the Tournament of Champions, where she placed first, and the Varsity Championships, where she finished third ... in addition to competing on the Hunter team, she also competed on the Western team, where she compiled 37 points in Beginner and advanced to Intermediate one ... competed in four shows in Intermediate one before garnering the necessary points to advance to Intermediate II ... during the four shows, she recorded a first-place finish at Texas A&M and finished second at OSU before qualifying for regionals ... finished seventh in Walk-Trot at the IHSA National Championships ... won the most improved award for the Hunt Seat team.
2001: Hoaglan recorded four first-place finishes in Beginning Western and captured a second and third place finish at OSU ... she recorded a third and fifth place finish at West Texas in walk-trot canter.
Personal: Enjoys running and church events ... received an OSU athlete academic award ... majoring in family relations and childhood development ... born Oct., 13, 1980 ... parents are David and Nancy Hoaglan.
