Cowgirl Softball Heads To Aloha State

On day one of the event, the Cowgirls will square off against Washington at 4 p.m., a team picked sixth in the NFCA Top 25 preseason poll. The Cowgirls will then face host school, Hawaii, in the nightcap at midnight.
Friday, the Cowgirls will take on Santa Clara at 4 p.m. and Louisville 6 p.m. The tournament continues on Saturday and Sunday with double elimination bracket play, ending with the championship game Sunday at 8 p.m.
The Cowgirls return 10 letterwinners and six starters to a team that finished 29-23 last year. Seniors Lauren Bay, from Trail, B.C., Canada, and Del City, Okla., native Ryan Realmuto, were All-Midwest Region selections at pitcher and catcher, respectively. Bay and Realmuto were also named to the All-Big 12 squad along with junior Jade Lindly.
The Cowgirls are led by Margaret Rebenar, who is entering her second season as head coach at Oklahoma State. Other members of the coaching staff are associate head coach Kim Ward and assistant coach Eric Whitley.
