Brooke redshirted the 2001-02 season.
at Northwestern: Brooke spent three years at Northwestern, earning Big Ten Player of the Year honors her junior year and Big 10 Freshman of the Year accolades her first season. She was a three-time first-team All-Big Ten and All-Mideast Region selection.
During her junior season, Brooke played and started in 42 games. She led the team with a .362 batting average, six home runs and a .608 slugging percentage. She had 47 hits with 10 doubles, two triples, 21 runs scored and 28 RBIs in 130 at-bats.
Brooke appeared on the mound in 45-of-61 games during her sophomore season, compiling a 19-19 record with a 2.83 ERA in 222-1/3 innings. She led the team with a .340 batting average, six home runs and a .525 slugging percentage. Brooke set a single-season record for RBIs at Northwestern with 39. Brooke led the team with a .342 batting average and was second on the team with three home runs, 32 runs scored and a .497 slugging percentage her freshman year. She also tied a Northwestern single-season record with 13 doubles. Brooke was 6-5 on the mound with a 3.20 ERA.
Brooke finished her career at Northwestern with a .348 batting average in 154 games. She had 155 hits in 447 at-bats, 91 RBIs and 15 homeruns. On the mound, Brooke was 27-26 with a 5.21 earned run average in 318 innings pitched.
Prep: Brooke lettered four years at Father Ryan High School for Coach Pat Simpson. She recorded a career pitching record of 117-20 with 1,603 strikeouts, the third-highest total in the nation. During her sophomore season, Brooke posted a 0.29 earned run average with 30 shutouts and four no-hitters, leading her team to the AAA State Championship title. She had a .421 batting average and seven home runs her senior year. Brooke returned to the state tournament, placing second her junior year and taking third place her senior year. She was named first-team All-State four times, was a four-time team MVP and a two-time Tennessee Player of the Year.
Personally: Born March 10, 1979, Brooke is the daughter of Kathy and Barry Siebel. Brooke has a sister, Holly (20) who plays softball for the United States Naval Academy. Brooke is working on her graduate degree in health promotion at Oklahoma State.
