Sloan is in his second year as a graduate assistant on the OUS coaching staff. He graduated from OSU with a degree in geography. During his time at OSU, Sloan received All-American and Big 12 honors in the 3,000m steeplechase. Sloan recorded the Big 12's best time in the 3,000m during the indoor regular season. He finished with a time of 8:02.17. He also recorded a time of 8:43.33 at the NCAA Championships, good enough for sixth place. Sloan was born Jan. 9, 1977. Sloan is the son of Dean and Terri Sloan. He has one sister (Carmody, 23). Sloan is in his third year of graduate school pursuing a degree in geography.
