Ann Baer begins her 24th year with the OSU athletic department, serving as the associate athletics director/senior woman administrator.
Baer began her tenure at Oklahoma State in 1978 as an office administrator, administrative associate and assistant AD prior to being promoted to her current position in October 1998.
In her duties as SWA, Baer oversees all nine women's sports. She is also involved in activities concerning women's issues; serves on the Big 12 Conference Board of SWAs; and is an ad hoc member of the OSU Athletic Council. She is one of the staff liaisons to the Student-Athlete Advisory Board.
Baer's office coordinates athletic scholarships, National Letters of Intent, letter awards and many records and reports to the Big 12.
She is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and the Naitonal Association of Collegiate Women Athletic Administrators (NACWAA); serves on the advisory board for the Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women; and is an officer of the Association of American University Women.
Baer has two children, Todd, a graphic artist in Evanston, Ill., and Tonya, a graduate of OSU living in Tulsa; she also has two grandsons and a granddaughter. Baer's hobbies include knitting, antiquing and crosswords.
