Cowgirls Defeat Seville, 5-1

Junior Jere Boykin was the first Cowgirl to find the back of the net, scoring at the 6:11 mark on assists from sophomores Jolene Schweitzer and Courtney Robb.
Less than two minutes later, Seville punched in a shot to even the score, but it was all the offense the squad could muster.
The Cowgirls took the lead for good 17 minutes into the game when sophomore Krista Dedmon scored on Schweitzer's second assist in the game.
Schweitzer and Boykin combined once again in the game's 31st minute, with Schweitzer taking credit for the goal this time around.
Oklahoma State's offense continued to roll, taking a 4-1 lead 33 minutes into the second half when junior Kim Graves scored on an assist from Schweitzer.
With less than two minutes remaining in the game, Boykin finished what she started, scoring the final goal of the game on an assist from junior Joanne Edwards.
Freshman Kendra Rainbolt earned the start and gave up the lone goal of the game. Senior Kat Doud played the final 45 minutes in goal, holding Seville scoreless for the remainder of the contest.
The Cowgirls will play the final game of their preseason tour Thursday, August 8, when they face the Andalucia Under 23 Regional Team at 12:30 p.m. (central).
