Cowgirls Handle Texas Tech, 7-0

The Cowgirls (12-6, 6-3) received consistent play in all singles matches to secure the win over Texas Tech (2-12, 2-8).
OSU once again claimed the doubles point, a feat they have accomplished in six straight matches.
At the No. 1 position, TTU's No. 33 ranked Beverly Dawson and Irina Terschenko quickly dropped No. 23 Linda Faltynkova and Katya Kolodynska to take the 1-0 lead.
The Cowgirls fought back, claiming victory at the No. 3 position. The duo of sophomore Ines Furtmayr and freshman Zana Masnic handed Barbara Schrami and Katja Kovacic a 8-3 loss.
The doubles point hinged on the No. 2 position. Trailing 7-4, the Cowgirl tandem of senior Erin Pauchnik and sophomore Ewa Radzikowska won five straight, stealing a 9-7 victory over Kendall Brooks and Tara Browning.
The come from behind victory left the duo perfect on the year and gave OSU the quick 1-0 overall lead.
The Cowgirls would put the match away with stellar singles play. OSU did not drop a single set on the afternoon.
At the No. 1 position, Faltynkova defeated Tereschenko in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2. Radzikowska followed suit by defeating TTU's Anchen Lombard, 6-3, 6-1, at the No. 4 position. The win improved Radzikowska to 8-1 in conference and 12-3 overall.
Cowgirl senior Kate Vasylyeva extended the OSU lead when she dropped Dawson at the No. 2 position, 6-4, 6-1. The win marked Vasylyeva's 70th career victory while at OSU.
Kolodynska extended the shutout for the Cowgirls at the No. 3 position when she defeated Brooks in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1. Furtmayr followed suit at the No. 6 position, dominating Kovacic, 6-2, 6-1.
Masnic completed the sweep of Texas Tech by picking up a 7-5, 6-2, victory over Browning at the No. 5 position. Masnic has now won three of her last four outings.
Oklahoma State will be looking to extend its four match win streak tomorrow when they take on No. 37 Missouri (10-4, 4-3).
The match should once again provide excellent doubles play. The No. 23 ranked duo of Faltynkova and Kolodynska will square off against No. 15 Urska Juric and Katka Sevcikova.
Faltynkova will also be faced with tough competition at the No. 1 singles position where she must take on No. 34 Juric.
The Cowgirls lead the all time series against the Tigers, 19-2. OSU dropped a 4-3 decision against Missouri during the regular season last year, but defeated them 4-1 in the Big 12 tournament.
Tomorrow's match is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. at the DuBois Tennis Center in Stillwater, Okla.
