OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Oklahoma State softball's games scheduled for April 15 and 16 at the Don E. Porter/ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City have been cancelled, it was announced today by the Oklahoma City All Sports Association.
Ongoing construction that has been hampered due to cold and wet weather has forced the Softball Challenge to be called off.
Oklahoma State was scheduled to face Fresno State on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. and Florida on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the two-day event. Oklahoma was also slated to participate, taking on the out-of-state opponents on alternating days.
Due to the numerous delays, the goal of ASA is for the stadium to be completed for the Big 12 Tournament to be held May 1-4 and the NCAA Women's College World Series May 22-26.
