HONOLULU, Hawaii - Oklahoma State's softball team advanced to the championship game of the Cevron Paradise Classic Sunday afternoon after defeating Hawaii in the semifinals.
The Cowgirls and Wahines were scoreless heading into the top of the sixth inning, but OSU opened the scoring with a pair of home runs by Cali Behmer and Ryan Realmuto.
Behmer hit a solo shot over the left field wall just inches shy of the foul line, while Realmuto's blast drove in Brooke Siebel.
That would be the only run security pitcher Lauren Bay would need as she pitched a two-hit shutout, while fanning 11 batters to post her second win of the year.
The Cowgirls will await the winner of the Washington/Santa Clara game to see who they play in the finals, which are slated to start at 8 p.m. (CST) on Sunday.
