OSU Equestrian Set to Host a Pair of Western Shows

OSU is coming off a performance where five Cowgirls rode to first-place finishes en route to a 32-31 win over Texas A&M. Kayla Elmenhorst notched a second and third-place finish to earn Reserve High Point Rider.
Nicole Stec and Peck each finished first in Intermediate II, while Crissy Meeks notched her second first-place finish of the season in Open Rail. Mandy McNally and Jessie Pruitt each added first-place showings in Novice and Beginner, respectively.
The Cowgirls have a 12 point lead over Texas A&M in the regional standings. In the first three shows, the Cowgirls have tallied 95 points to A&M's 83. Co-defending national champion West Texas A&M is currently in third with 60 points, while Sul Ross State and Stephen F. Austin rounds out the top five with 28 and 24 points, respectively.
