Spring 2003: Heather filled the back-up role at catcher, seeing action in seven contests and earning the starting nod once. She had one hit and scored one run. Heather was perfect from the field in seven chances.
Fall 2002: Heather started three games behind the plate and played in 10. She hit .350, with 7 hits in 20 at-bats and had two doubles, four runs scored and four runs batted in. She also had three walks and a stolen base. Heather was perfect from the field in 70 chances.
Spring 2002: Heather saw action in three games last spring. She went 1-for-2 at the plate, with her only hit being a home run. She had two runs scored, one run batted in and was perfect from the field in 10 chances.
Fall 2001: Heather played in five games and started four for the Cowgirls. She batted .364, going 4-for-11. She scored two runs, had two runs batted in and a .455 slugging percentage. She was perfect in the field in 19 chances and was perfect on stolen-base attempts.
Prep: Heather was a four-year letterwinner for Coach Karie Linsenmeyer at Stillwater High School. She was a two-time first-team All-Conference selection and a two-time honorable mention. She was named first team All-District and All-Region her senior season. Heather had a .383 batting average and 23 runs batted in her senior year. She led her team to a Regional Championship in 1999. She also played soccer and basketball for four years. She was named All-Conference honorable mention in soccer her senior year. Heather also played for the Tulsa Renegades, a summer league team. Heather led the Renegades to a Tulsa Metro Tourney Championship.
Personally: Born August 17, 1983, Heather is the daughter of Jerry and Robbin Been. She has a brother Cory (24). Heather is majoring in exercise science at Oklahoma State.
