“Texas is one of the elite programs in college football, vying for a BCS berth on a yearly basis, and we haven't beaten them since we've been here. We point at Texas as a goal in and of itself to win that game, in our stadium, and then the opportunity to win 10 games in a season, the opportunity to play in a bowl game and have a bowl championship. All those are in front of this team still.”

“I think they (Texas) said at the Nebraska game, let's see if they can stop the run, and they couldn't. Young is one of those guys, that athletically, I don't know that anybody has asked him to do something that he cannot do, and so when he gets the ball in his hand and he goes to improvise, he's very special.”

“Very talented physically, big strong guys. Very fast, man-based, two physical safeties, two corners that can jump in your face and pressure man to man. Very talented team.”

On Texas quarterback Vince Young
“I think of him as a litte Michael Vick out there - he's just 6-foot-5, 220. We just have to keep him contained and stop the run. As a defensive lineman you like it when the quarterback runs the ball but he's elusive and we can't go for the kill shot everytime time.”
On adjusting to a running quarterback
“We've played teams that feature the quarterback and we've done a pretty good job corraling them and stopping them from running. It's the same game plan, just a matter of executing it.”
On the difficulty of readjusting team goals
“It's not difficult. We've got other goals like being the first team in Oklahoma State history to go 10-2 in the regular season and going to a nice bowl game.”
