November 20, 2003 | Cowgirl Equestrian
Oklahoma State's equestrian team travels to College Station, Texas, this weekend for a pair of Hunter Seat shows.
The Cowgirls enter the weekend three points behind Texas A&M. During the first show of the year, OSU recorded 40 points, which marked the highest point total since the Cowgirls tallied 40 points last year, while Texas A&M, however, edged OSU out with a 43-40 margin.
In the first show, the Cowgirls had six riders take home first-place finishes, including returning National Champion Lindsey Smith. The Mountain Home, Ark., native moved up a class to Intermediate Fences where she tallied the victory.
OSU will begin competition at 8 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday at Texas A&M's Freeman Arena.
