Cowgirls to Compete at ITA Regional Tournament
October 24, 2003 | Cowgirl Tennis
Oklahoma State's women's tennis team will end the Fall Tournament Season at the ITA Regional Tournament in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Wednesday.
“We will use this opportunity to try out a lot of our new players,” Head Coach Julius Lubicz-Majewski said. “We have been working on a lot of footwork and overall fitness to get the team quicker.”
The Cowgirl's senior tandem of Katya Kolodynska and Jana Karaskova will be looking for another strong showing after winning the first flight of the Las Vegas Invitational Tournament.
“It seems to me that they compliment each other,” Lubicz-Majewski said. “They have won one tournament and finished in second at the other. They are both talented and should do very well.”
Oklahoma State will begin qualifying singles play at 9:00 a.m. at the Eccols Tennis Center. Qualifying doubles play will immediately follow.
