Cowgirls Picked Sixth In Preseason Coaches Poll

DALLAS, Texas - Oklahoma State's softball team has been predicted to finish sixth in the Big 12 this season, it was announced today, in a vote of the league coaches. Each head coach ranked the 10 schools, excluding their own team.
Nebraska was chosen to win the league title with 77 points, including five first-place votes. Texas came in second with 70 total points and two first-place selections followed by Oklahoma with 67 points and two first-place votes. Baylor and Texas A&M both received 54 votes to round out the top five.
Oklahoma State was picked sixth with 44 points followed by Kansas, Iowa State, Missouri and Texas Tech to round out the poll.
The Cowgirls will host Southwestern and Northern Oklahoma this Saturday for a pair of scrimmages before opening the regular season at the Chevron Paradise Classic in Hawaii Feb. 6-9.
