Texas A&M Rolls Past Cowgirl Basketball, 69-54

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's women's basketball team lost its conference home opener on Saturday afternoon, falling 69-54 to Texas A&M before 3,682 fans at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
The Aggies (8-5, 1-1) snapped a three-game losing streak with the win and never trailed after racing out to a 10-point advantage just five minutes into the contest. A&M, which won in Stillwater for the second consecutive season, saw its lead grow to as many as 22 points in the second half at 60-38.
A&M was led offensively by forward Sabrina Mitchell and guard Toccara Williams, who each finished with 18 points. Williams also collected nine rebounds to go along with seven assists and six steals.
The Cowgirls (4-9 overall and 0-2 Big 12) got 45 of their 54 points from junior Trisha Skibbe and freshman Meghan Craig. Skibbe poured in a career-high 31 points and pulled a season-high 14 rebounds, while Craig tallied career highs with 14 points and four three-point field goals.
OSU will return to action on Wednesday night when Kansas comes to town for a 7 p.m. contest.
