Cowboy Harriers Win Season Opener

State College, Pa. - The Oklahoma State men's cross country team opened the season with a victory Saturday at the Spiked Shoe Invitational on the campus of Penn State University.
The Cowboys outdistanced second place team and host Nittany Lions by a margin of 25 to 79. Jason Woolhouse finished first individually with a time of 25:36.47 on the 5.2 mile course. Derek Tate came in second stopping the clock at 26:17.41. He was followed by Ben Sigle in fifth, Ben Lake in eighth, Chris McWatters in ninth, Scott Rantall in 12th, and Marcus Hershberger in 14th to round out seven Cowboys in the top 15.
The team will next travel to Joplin, Mo. on September 21 to compete in the Missouri Southern Stampede.
