TULSA, Okla. - All Oklahoma State University fans and alumni in the Tulsa area are invited to attend the third annual OSU Spirit Rally on Monday, Aug. 19, in downtown Tulsa at Bartlett Square / Main Mall. The rally, presented by the Tulsa County OSU Alumni Association, is scheduled to begin roughly at 11:30 a.m. and run to approximately 1 p.m.
Cowboy Head Football Coach Les Miles is scheduled to appear and address the downtown lunchtime crowd. Dave Hunziker, OSU's radio play-by-play announcer, will emcee the event. Pistol Pete and the OSU Spirit Squad are also scheduled to be on hand for the event.
Free pizza and drinks will be provided to the first 300 fans who arrive wearing orange or OSU apparel. Prizes will also be given away, including OSU merchandise.
"With more than 16,000 OSU alumni in Tulsa County, there is great OSU fan support here, and this event is designed to get everyone here fired up about OSU athletics and encourage alumni to support and promote the OSU campuses in Stillwater," said Chad Weiberg, senior director of programs for the OSU Alumni Association. "We've seen a tremendous turnout of OSU fans the first two years of the event, and we'd like to see even more fans this year."
