Hunziker Receives Contract Extension

Stillwater, Okla. - Dave Hunziker, the voice of Cowboy Football and Basketball this past season, has received a two-year contract extension, it was announced today. The extension runs through the 2003-04 academic year.
"Its exciting to have received a multi-year deal to serve as OSU's play-by-play announcer," said Hunziker. "The fans, administration and Learfield Sports have been very supportive of me, and for that, I'm extremely grateful. I believe our teams are on their way to more great things at Oklahoma State, and I look forward to being a part of it."
Hunziker, a native of Kahoka, Mo., is a broadcast veteran of 15 years and just completed his first season as the Voice of the Cowboys. He came to Oklahoma State after spending the 2000-01 season as the voice of Western Kentucky athletics and also serves as an assistant in the OSU Athletic Development office.
"We are thrilled to have Dave Hunziker locked up as the play-by-play voice on the Cowboy Radio Network," said Larry Reece, general manager, Cowboy Sports Properties. "Dave came into a very difficult situation at OSU, and has peformed with temendous professionalism, and his enthusiasm quickly made him a part of the OSU family. Dave Hunziker is one of the good guys."
