COWGIRLS TRAVEL TO ARKANSAS
Oklahoma State (24-13) travels to Fayetteville, Ark., to take on the Arkansas Lady Razorbacks (25-20) and Tulsa Golden Hurricane (33-7). OSU will play the first two games, meeting Arkansas at 3 p.m and Tulsa at 5 p.m. Arkansas and Tulsa will square off for the final game of the day at 7 p.m. Oklahoma State is 15-3 overall against Tulsa and 0-1 vs. Arkansas, with the only meeting between the two teams coming in last year's inaugural Border War held in Stillwater.
COMING UP
Oklahoma State returns to Cowgirl Stadium to host Texas A&M over the weekend. The Cowgirls and Aggies will take the field on Saturday, April 13 at 2 p.m. and wrap up the series on Sunday, April 14 at 1 p.m. OSU will take part in the Farm Bureau Softball Challenge with Oklahoma, Arizona and Fresno State on Tuesday, April 16 and Wednesday, April 17 in Oklahoma City.
BIG 12 RANKINGS
Oklahoma State's pitching staff is second in the league with a 1.28 earned run average, trailing Baylor who leads the conference with a 0.91 ERA. Junior Lauren Bay leads the league with six complete games and is second in the league in strikeouts during conference play, averaging 11.31 Ks per game. Bay also leads the league in opponent batting average (.129), allowing just 19 hits in 147 at-bats during conference games. Sophomore Jade Lindly leads the league in batting average (.500), home runs (5), slugging percentage (1.350), on-base percentage (.630) and runs scored (8) during league play.
SCOUTING REPORT ON ARKANSAS
Arkansas is 25-20 overall and 6-12 in the SEC. The Lady Razorbacks are led by sophomore Courtney Mitchell, who is batting .301 with 10 doubles, seven home runs and 22 runs batted in. Senior Danica White is batting .230 with four doubles, two triples and 11 runs batted in. On the mound, Arkansas is led by senior Rachel Talley and sophomore Heather Schlichtm. Talley has a 12-7 record and a 1.30 earned run average. She has nine complete games, three shutouts and one combined shutout. Schlichtm is 10-7 with a 1.54 earned run average, 12 complete games and three shutouts.
SCOUTING REPORT ON TULSA
Tulsa is 33-7 overall and 6-4 in WAC play. The Golden Hurricane are led by junior Crissy Strimple who is batting .339 with eight doubles, five home runs and a .539 slugging percentage. Freshman Danielle Olsen is batting .331 with seven doubles, four home runs and 31 runs batted in. Senior Jenny Magill leads the Golden Hurricane with a 13-4 record and 0.72 earned run average. She has 14 complete games with nine shutouts and one combined shutout. Backing up Magill are freshman Ami Day and Lindsey Dyer. Day has a 12-3 record and 1.14 earned run average. She has thrown 13 complete games and has four shutouts. Dyer is 8-0 on the year with a 1.79 earned run average, four shutouts and one combined shutout.
