Jenny Kipp Named Female Student-Athlete Of The Year

STILLWATER, Okla. - Jenny Kipp, a senior third baseman for the Cowgirl softball team recently earned the Top Female Student-Athlete Award at Oklahoma State University.
The Gilbert, Ariz., native is a four-year letter winner for the Cowgirls and has started all but one game during her last two years. Kipp was selected as this year's recipient based on her academic performance, athletic participation, community service and overall leadership during her four years at OSU.
She has maintained a high level of excellence in the classroom while pursuing a degree in Marketing with a minor in Public Relations. Kipp's dedication has resulted in numerous awards, including being a three-time NFCA All-American Scholar Athlete and a three-time member of the Academic All-Big 12 first team. She has also been named to the Big 12 Academic Honor Roll seven times.
Kipp has been recognized for her efforts on the field as well, earning All-Big 12 team honors two times and being selected to the All-Midwest Region Squad in 2000. Most recently, Jenny was named Big 12 Player of the Week for March 6-12, 2002.
She is also active in the community participating in various projects and was recognized for her contributions with the Big 12 Community Champion Award in 2000.
Kipp and the rest of the Cowgirls return to action Wednesday when they travel to Norman to take on the Sooners at 6:30 p.m.
