COWGIRLS HOST THE LADY BEARS
Oklahoma State (26-17 overall, 5-6 in Big 12) looks to snap a three--game losing streak when it hosts No. 23 Baylor (44-13 overall, 9-5 in Big 12) this weekend at Cowgirl Stadium. The Cowgirls and Lady Bears will play a two-game set, squaring off Saturday, April 20, at 2 p.m. and again on Sunday, April 21, at 1 p.m. Sunday will mark senior day for the Cowgirls and the five seniors will be honored prior to the game. Oklahoma State participated in the Farm Bureau Softball Challenge in Oklahoma City on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Cowgirls fell to No. 1 Arizona, 4-2, on Tuesday and dropped one to No. 13 Fresno State, 3-1, on Wednesday. Baylor swept Sam Houston State, 8-2, and, 8-0, on Thursday.
COMING UP
Oklahoma State closes out its home schedule on Monday, hosting Iowa State for a doubleheader slated for 12:30 p.m. The Cowgirls travel to Norman for round two of bedlam at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24
COWGIRL SOFTBALL ON THE AIR
All of Oklahoma State's remaining home conference games, as well as the OU game in Norman and all postseason contests will be broadcast live on Stillwater Radio. Bill VanNess will provide the play-by-play for the fourth-consecutive season. Any game starting prior to 6 p.m. will air on KSPI 780 AM. Any game starting at 6 p.m. or later will be broadcast on KGFY 105.5 FM.
SENIOR NIGHT
Oklahoma State says goodbye to five seniors on Sunday prior to the Baylor game. The seniors will play their final game at Cowgirl Stadium on Monday against Iowa State. Jenny Kipp (Gilbert, Ariz.) and Casey O'Neill (San Diego, Calif.) are both four-year letterwinners at Oklahoma State. Nicci Quiroz has been at OSU for three years, transferring after one year at Carl Albert State College. Teresa Ritchie and Summer Younk both transferred to Oklahoma State with two years of eligiblity remaining. Ritchie came to Stillwater after a two-year stint at Henderson State and Younk after two years at Notheast Texas.
