COMING UP Oklahoma State returns to Cowgirl Stadium next week for a two-game home stand. On Wednesday, April 3, the Sooners and the Cowgirls will face off at 6:30 p.m. for round one of bedlam softball. OSU will host Wichita State on Thursday, April 5, at 6 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT OSU dropped both games to Nebraska at Cowgirl Stadium last weekend. On Saturday, the Cowgirls fell, 3-2, despite Bay fanning 19 batters in nine innings of work. All five runs in the game were scored off home runs, with Nebraska sending two long and the Cowgirls one. OSU was held scorless until the bottom of the seventh when Jade Lindly hit a two-run dinger to even the score and send the game into extra innings. Bay gave up her second home run of the game, and season, in the top of the ninth and the Huskers came away with the victory. On Sunday, Lindly hit her 10th home run of the season to pull the Cowgirls within one, but it was as close as they could get.
