Bay Earns Big 12 Pitcher Of The Week Honors

STILLWATER, Okla. - Lauren Bay, a junior on Oklahoma State's softball team, was named the Big 12 Conference's softball Pitcher of the Week, it was announced Tuesday, by the league office.

The Trail, B.C., Canada, native struck out 41 batters in 23 innings of work last week, averaging 12.5 per game. Bay fanned 14 for the third time this season in the 4-1 win against Kansas.

In the home conference opener with Nebraska, she struck out 19 in nine innings, tying the school record for strikeouts in a game.

Oklahoma State returns to action Friday at 6 p.m. when it travels to Columbia, Mo. for a two-game set with the Tigers.
