Women's Netters Defeat SMU

Oklahoma State's 38th-ranked women's tennis team defeated the No. 62 ranked Southern Methodist on Saturday in Dallas, Texas.
The Cowgirls got off to a quick start by winning all three doubles matches to take an early 1-0 lead.
The No. 7 ranked duo of junior Linda Faltynkova and sophomore Katia Kolodynska won the first doubles match for the Cowgirls at the No. 1 doubles position. The duo defeated Kit Carson and Jenny Langer, 8-4.
Senior Ashleigh Dolman and junior Erin Pauchnik defeated Lynsie Jones and Sara Cortas, 8-5, at the No. 2 doubles position. Senior Dominika Olszewska and junior Kate Vasylyeva completed the sweep by defeating Allison Leuszler and Siayareh Rambally at the No. 3 doubles spot, 8-5.
The Cowgirls clinched the match by winning four of six singles matches. All four matches were won in straight sets.
Olszewska defeated Carson at the No. 1 singles position, 6-3, 6-2. Faltynkova won at the No. 3 singles spot over Leuszler, 6-2, 6-2.
Kolodynksa defeated Jones at the No. 4 singles spot, 6-4, 7-5. Junior Gorana Marsic won at the No. 6 singles position over Cortas, 6-3, 6-4.
The Cowgirls will return to action March 28 at 1p.m. when they host Texas A&M.
