Women's Tennis Falls to Baylor

Oklahoma State's 38th-ranked women's tennis team (5-6) fell to the 18th-ranked Baylor Lady Bears, 5-2, on Friday at the Streich Tennis Courts in Waco, Texas.
The Cowgirls got off to a good start by winning two of three doubles matches to claim the first team point.
The No. 7 ranked duo of junior Linda Faltynkova and sophomore Katia Kolodynska defeated the No. 24 ranked doubles team of Katja Kovac and Vida Mulec, 8-3 at the No. 1 doubles position.
The doubles point was clinched for the Cowgirls when senior Dominika Olszewska and junior Kate Vasylyeva teamed up to beat Daria Potapova and Paola Stephen, 8-6 at the No. 3 doubles spot.
The momentum of the match changed as the Lady Bears would win five of six singles matches to claim the victory.
Vasylyeva won the second team point for the Cowgirls at the No. 3 singles spot. Vasylyeva defeated Patricia Graf 6-2, 6-1.
With the loss the Cowgirls drop to 1-3 in conference play. OSU will return to action on Saturday when they head to Dallas to take on SMU.
