Women's Netters Outlast Kansas State

Oklahoma State's 24th-ranked women's tennis team defeated 47th-ranked Kansas State 4-3 on Sunday in Manhattan, Kan.
The Cowgirls earned the first team point by sweeping all three doubles matches.
Junior Linda Faltynkova and senior Ashleigh Dolman teamed up to defeat Alena Jecminkova and Andrea Cooper 8-5 at the No. 1 doubles position. Juniors Erin Pauchnik and Gorana Marsic outlasted Kathy Chuda and Petra Sedlmajerova 9-8 at the No. 2 doubles spot.
The No. 3 doubles match was won by OSU's senior Dominika Olszewska and junior Kate Vasylyeva. The duo defeated Paulina Castillejos and Hayley McIver 8-4.
The Cowgirls clinched the match by winning three of six singles matches.
Vasylyeva and Marsic both won their singles matches in straight sets.
At the No. 3 singles position Vasylyeva defeated Sedlmajerova in straight sets 6-4, 7-5. Marsic defeated Cooper 7-5, 6-2 at the No. 6 singles spot.
The match was clinched by Faltynkova at the No. 2 singles spot. Faltynkova defeated Chuda in a three set tiebreaker 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (3).
The Cowgirls ended their three day road trip with a record of 1-2. The Cowgirls had to overcome a case of food poisoning during the first two matches against Missouri and Kansas.
OSU will return to action March 15 when they travel to Waco, Texas to take on the Baylor Bears at 11 a.m.
