Women's Netters Lose in Indoor Championship

Oklahoma State's 18th-ranked women's team lost to 7th-ranked Southern California 6-1 in the consolation round at the National Women's Team Indoor Championship in Madison,Wisc. on Saturday.
The 5th-ranked duo of junior Linda Faltynkova and sophomore Katia Kolodynska fell to 10th-ranked Tiffany Brymer and Jewel Peterson of Southern California 8-5. The loss ends the Cowgirls four match winning streak for the spring season.
Seniors Ashleigh Dolman and Dominika came up short to No. 24 ranked Anita Loyola and Luana Magnani 8-7(6) at the No. 2 doubles position.
Freshman Ines Furtmayr and junior Kate Vasylyeva lost in a tiebreaker to Bernadette Bayani and Melissa Esmerso 9-8(3) at the No.3 doubles position.
The Cowgirls team point was earned by Kolodynska at the No. 3 singles position. Kolodynska defeated No. 91 ranked Anita Loyola 6-1, 6-1.
After the conclusion of the tournament the Cowgirls will return to action Feb.22 when they host Texas-Arlington.
