Women's Netters Fall in the Indoor Championships

Oklahoma State's 18th-ranked women's tennis team lost to 2nd- ranked Duke 7-0 in the first round of the National Women's Team Indoor Championship on Thursday in Madison, Wisc.
The only Cowgirls victory came from the No. 5 ranked doubles team junior Linda Faltynkova and sophomore Katia Kolodynska. The duo defeated Duke's Hillary Adams and Julie DeRoo 9-8 (3) at the No. 1 doubles position.
The doubles point was clinched when Duke's Kelly McCain and Amanda Johnson defeated seniors Asheigh Dolman and Dominika Olszewska 8-4 at the No. 2 doubles position.
Katie Granson of Duke clinched the match by defeating freshman Ines Furtmayer 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 5 singles spot.
OSU moves to consolation play and will play Friday at 9:00 a.m.
