Oklahoma State University will give fans their first-ever opportunity to see many of the tremendous features built into the new Athletics Center during an open house, scheduled from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., on Sunday, Feb. 24.
The open house will be immediately following Oklahoma State's women's basketball game against nationally ranked Baylor that tips off at 1 p.m. Fans will have a chance to tour the men's basketball locker room, O-Club Room, Varsity Room, Academic Center, Strength and Conditioning Center, auxiliary practice gym and the suites that serve both Gallagher-Iba Arena and Lewis Field.
OSU Athletics Director Terry Don Phillips said the open house has been scheduled because most fans have not had an opportunity to see the entire facility.
"You can't appreciate the work that has gone into this project and the dividends our program will reap from that effort until you see the facility in its entirety," Phillips said. "The Athletics Center remains a work-in-progress, but there is more than enough in place to give our fans an idea of the impact this facility is having on our program."
The open house will begin immediately following the basketball game. It will be Senior Day for the Cowgirls and there are other alumni activities tied to the event.
