Linda Faltynkova To Compete In Fourth Day Of Regional Competition

Faltynkova defeated Rebecca Pike of Brigham Young, 7-5, 6-3, to advance to the Main Draws round of 16.
Faltynkova was able to advance to the round of eight by defeating Dominique Reynolds of Brigham Young, 6-2, 6-2.
Also advancing past the Main Draws round of 32 was Cowgirl senior Kate Vasylyeva.
Vasylyeva came from behind to defeat Laura Nigro of Air Force, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4. Vasylyeva was then dropped by Urska Juric of Missouri, 6-0, 6-1, in the Main Draws round of 16.
Sophomore Ines Furtmayr was defeated by Petra Sedlmajerova of Kansas State, 7-5, 6-3, in the round of 32.
The lone Cowgirl doubles team remaining in the Main Draw competition was also defeated on Friday. The duo of Gorana Marsic and Zana Masnic was dropped by Jamina Hayward and Erin Polowski of Boise State, 8-3.
Competing in the back draw singles round of 32 was junior Katia Kolodynska. After advancing with a bye to the round of 16, Kolodynska was defeated by Haley McIver of Kansas State, 6-2, 6-3.
The fourth day of competition at the Omni Hotels Women's Tennis Central Region Championships will begin on Saturday morning and feature the singles and doubles round of eight.
