STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's Equestrian team will start the 2002-2003 season this weekend. The Western team will compete in three shows over the course of the weekend.
The shows will be held at the WTAMU Horse Center with the first show will starting on Saturday at 8 a.m. The second show will start at approximately 2 p.m. with Sunday's show will set for 8 a.m.
"Having so many competitions in one weekend is tough," said head coach Larry Sanchez. "With the attitude of the girls, and the way they are riding in practice, I could not be more excited about going to a competition. We are ready mentally as well as physically to do the job we hope to do."
The Cowgirls are coming off a successful season in which both the Hunter and Western teams earned Top 10 finishes at nationals, with Luann Ulrich being crowned an individual national champion as well.
