Cowboys Take Fourth at Chile Pepper

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Oklahoma State's men's cross country team placed fourth in a field featuring 26 teams Saturday at the 14th annual Chile Pepper Invitational hosted by the University of Arkansas.
Junior Jason Woolhouse led the Cowboys with a fourth place finish and a time of 28:59.81 in the 10K race, the second fastest away meet time in school history, behind only Jon Wild's 28:30 in 1995.
Seniors Derek Tate and Ben Lake ran together to record 26th and 27th place finishes, as did senior Ben Sigle and junior Chris McWatters, who crossed the finish line in 39th and 40th to round out the scoring for the Pokes.
The team will be off until November 2, when they will travel to Columbia, Mo., to compete in the Big 12 Championships.
