Women's Netters Earn Preseason Ranking

Oklahoma State's women's tennis team earned a No. 18 preseason ranking for the 2002 season.
The 2001 Big 12 Champions have six returning players and two newcomers.
Leading the way for OSU is junior Linda Faltynkova. Playing at the No. 1 singles position, Faltynkova is nationally ranked No. 65 and No. 3 in the Central Region.
Faltynkova will team up with Katia Kolodynska to take the No. 1 doubles position. The duo is ranked No. 5 in the nation and No. 1 in the Central Region. Faltynkova and Kolodynska took part in winning the WTT National Championship and won the Consolation Singles Championship at the Omni Hotels Central Region Championships in the 2001 fall season.
Senior Dominika Olszewska is ranked No. 12 in singles in the Central Region. Olszewska won the Consolation Singles Championship at the Omni Hotels Central Region Tennis Championships.
Olszewska will team up with senior Ashleigh Dolman in doubles play. Ranked No. 5 in the Central Region, Olszewska and Dolman won the Wildcat Doubles Invitational in the 2001 fall season.
Also returning for the Cowgirls are junior Erin Pauchnik and junior Kate Vasylyeva. Vasylyeva is ranked No. 26 in the Central Region.
Ines Furtmayer and Gorana Marsic are the two new additions to the Cowgirl squad. Furtmayer is a freshman native of City Uffing, Germany. Marsic is a junior native of Auckland, New Zealand.
The Cowgirls begin the 2002 season in Tulsa,Okla. on Feb. 2 against Southwest Missouri State.
