LAWRENCE, Kan. - Trisha Skibbe scored 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Oklahoma State to a 73-48 win over Kansas on Saturday.
Oklahoma State took a 16- point lead on a 14-0 run capped by Tari Cummings' baseline layup with 7:47 left in the first half.
Skibbe took over in the final six minutes of the first half, scoring the Cowgirls' last eight points.
Skibbe was 7-of-11 from the field and 5-of-5 from the free- throw line.
Cummings added 16 points and eight rebounds for OSU and all five starters reached double figures in the scoring column.
The Jayhawks, who trailed 40-25 at halftime, cut the Cowgirls' lead to nine with nine minutes remaining but came no closer.
Nikki White led the Jayhawks with 15 points, and Selena Scott added 10.
OSU (11-9, 3-4 Big 12) outrebounded Kansas (5-16, 0-8) 48- 26. The Cowgirls held the Jayhawks to 33-percent shooting from the floor.
