Cowgirl Softballers Earn Postseason Honors

Stillwater, Okla. - Oklahoma State softball had three players named to the All-Big 12 teams, and seven were named Academic All-Big 12, it was announced today at the Big 12 pretournament banquet at the Marriott in Oklahoma City.
Sophomore Lauren Bay was named first-team All-Big 12 as a pitcher/designated player, earning the honor as an at-large selection. Junior Jenny Kipp and sophomore Ryan Realmuto earned second-team accolades at third base and catcher, respectively.
Seven Cowgirls earned Academic All-Big 12 plaudits, including Bay, Kipp and Realmuto. Joining those three on the first team were seniors Amanda Hayes, Sarah Knife Chief and Lezli Leathers, and sophomore Stephanie Hodges. Hayes earned the honor for the third-consecutive season, as did Leathers.
Oklahoma State will face Kansas in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament on Thursday morning at 11 a.m. at Don E. Porter/ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.
