COWGIRLS HOST TIGERS
Oklahoma State (18-15 overall, 3-4 Big 12) will host the Missouri Tigers (22-19, 2-4) this weekend, with a 2 p.m. game on Saturday and a 1 p.m. game on Sunday. OSU is coming off a 3-0 loss at No. 7 Oklahoma on Wednesday, while Mizzou is fresh off a split with the Iowa State Cyclones on April 4. The Tigers won the first game, 2-1 in eight innings, before falling in the second, 2-0. Oklahoma State owns the all-time series, 48-22.
COMING UP
On Wednesday, the Cowgirls will host the "Border War" with Tulsa and Arkansas coming to Stillwater. Oklahoma State will play Arkansas at 3 p.m., followed by Arkansas vs. Tulsa. The final game will be Oklahoma State vs. TU. Tulsa defeated OSU, 3-0, earlier this season. The Cowgirls will go on a four-game road swing through Iowa and Nebraska next weekend. OSU will play the Huskers on Saturday and Sunday, with games at 2 p.m. both days. ISU will host OSU in a doubleheader on Monday, starting at noon.
LAST TIME OUT
Oklahoma pitcher Jennifer Stewart limited Oklahoma State to just three hits as the seventh-ranked Sooners shut out the Cowgirls 3-0 in front of 1,201 fans on Wednesday. The Sooners struggled to hit Cowgirl starter Lauren Bay in the first three innings. Oklahoma broke the scoreless tie in the fifth and rallied for three runs with two outs. Mandy Fulton reached first when she got hit by Bay's pitch. She scored from first on a Leah Gulla double to center field. After Erin Evans grounded out to third, Andrea Davis pinch hit for LaKisha Washington and walked. Bay walked Braitsch to load the bases. Lisa Carey lined a ball to third baseman Jenny Kipp, who misplayed the ball and allowed Carey to reach first and a run to score. Ashli Barrett was the recipient of Bay's third walk of the inning that resulted in OU's final run of the game. After giving up three hits in the first three innings, Stewart turned it up a notch and dominated the game. The junior didn't allow a hit in the final four innings and retired the last 10 batters in order. Bay got the loss after allowing three runs on three hits. The sophomore struck out seven, but walked four in seven innings. She also led OSU on offense, collecting two of the Cowgirls' three hits. Kipp got the other hit with a single to left in the third inning.
SCOUTING REPORT ON MISSOURI
Missouri is 22-19 overall this season and 2-4 in Big 12 Conference action. The Tigers are led by senior Karen Williams, who is batting .465 with 60 hits in 129 at-bats. She is also 20-of-23 on stolen-base attempts. Melanie Fisher is batting .385 with eight doubles, while Rachael McGinnis i sbatting .366 with a team-leading 25 runs batted in and 29 runs scored. Erin Erickson leads the team wiht four home runs, eight doubles and has 23 RBIs. Senior Stephanie Falk is Mizzou's top pitcher, with a 17-12 record and 1.29 earned run average. She has thrown all four of the Tigers' shutouts, and has their only save. Ingrid Werner is MU's other hurler, with 18 starts, a 5-7 record and a 3.83 ERA. Jay Miller is in his 14th season at the helm of the Tigers, and has an all-time record of 518-267 at the school.
SERIES WITH MISSOURI
OSU leads the all-time series with Missouri, 48-22, although the Tigers have won the last five meetings. OSU is 12-9 vs. Mizzou in Stillwater all-time. The Cowgirls' longest winning streak in the series is 14, while Missouri's longest streak is the current five-game string. The series was pretty even from the start until 1986, when OSU led, 12-10. However, the Cowgirls have won 36-of-48 since that time, including just three losses in 35 games in the span of a decade (1986-96).
HEAD COACH SANDY FISCHER
Sandy Fischer is in her 23rd season at the helm of the Oklahoma State Cowgirls, and enters Wednesday's game with a career record of 890-365-3. Her NCAA record is 842-349-3, making her the third-winningest active coach among NCAA coaches. She needs just six more victories to move into fourth place on the all-time victories list, past UCLA's Sharon Backus, who had 847 wins in her career. Coach Fischer has led OSU to nine conference championships, eight regional championships and nine Women's College World Series appearances. Under her guidance, 62 players have been named first-team all-conference, while 28 have gone on to earn All-America status.
ASSOCIATE HEAD COACH MARGARET REBENAR
In her 22nd year as the top assistant coach for Oklahoma State is Margaret Rebenar. Since her naming as the Associate Head Coach for the Cowgirls, Rebenar has accumulated a 322-157 record at Oklahoma State. Last season, she was inducted into the NFCA/ Easton "300-win" club. Rebenar guided the Cowgirls to a regional championship and a College World Series appearance in 1998.
COWGIRL SOFTBALL ON THE AIR
Beginning with the Kansas series, the remainder of Oklahoma State's home games, as well as the OU game in Norman, will be broadcast live on Stillwater Radio. Bill VanNess will provide the play-by-play for the third-consecutive season. Most games will be broadcast on 780 AM, with a few exceptions. Both OU games will be on 105.5 FM, as will the Missouri game on April 7 and the Tulsa game on April 11. All postseason games will also be aired on Stillwater Radio.

Oklahoma State has failed to plate a run in 38 innings, dating back to the Texas Tech game on March 25 ... Sophomore Lauren Bay leads the team in two-out RBIs with 10, followed by freshman Jade Lindly and senior Amanda Hayes, who each have eight ... Oklahoma State has scored 20 of its 94 runs this season in the first inning ... OSU has 45 multiple-hit games this season as a team, including a 4-for-4 performance by junior Angela Veronesi vs. Utah in the Red Desert Classic ... Freshman Jade Lindly leads the Cowgirls in pinch-hitting, going 2-for-3 this season ... The Cowgirls have 71 called strikeouts, or 38 percent of their total strikeouts ... Sophomore catcher Ryan Realmuto has thrown out 14-of-48 attempted base stealers, or 29.2 percent.
WHO'S HOT
Lauren Bay - The lefthanded hurler had not given up an earned run in 47 consecutive innings, dating back to the Oklahoma City game on March 16, until the fifth inning of the OU game. Excluding the fifth inning of OSU's 5-3 loss to Utah on March 10, Bay has given up just four earned runs in her last 108-2/3 innings pitched, or a 0.21 ERA.
Amanda Hayes - In the last five games, the senior leftfielder has gone 7-for-18 (.389 average), with two doubles in the last two three. She has three two-hit games in that span.
Ryan Realmuto - The sophomore catcher has gone 6-for-20 (.300 average) in her last seven games, including three doubles and a home run, leading to a .600 slugging percentage. She has also gone 99 fielding chances without an error.
BIG 12 RANKINGS
Oklahoma State's pitching staff is second in the league in earned run average at 1.47, just 7/100th of a point behind Texas Tech, which leads the league with a 1.40 ERA. Cowgirl sophomore Lauren Bay leads the Big 12 in ERA, both overall (0.68) and conference-games only (0.16). She is second in the league in saves with two, and fourth with 125 strikeouts. Bay is sixth in the league with four shutouts, and she is tied for seventh in innings pitched with 112-2/3. She leads the league in innings pitched in conference contests. Lauren is also fourth in opponent batting average (.166). Freshman Tiffany Paper is sixth in the league in ERA for conference-games only (1.20). Freshman Danielle Thomas is sixth in the league in walks with 16, while sophomore Stephanie Hodges is eighth with 15. Lezli Leathers is second in walks for Big 12 games with five.
HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE
In seven games at Cowgirl Stadium this season, Oklahoma State is 6-1. The Cowgirls have had some advantages both offensively and defensively this season in the friendly confines of the Stadium. Freshman Jade Lindly is batting .400 with four hits in 10 at-bats. Senior Amanda Hayes is batting .391, going 9-for-23 with six RBIs. OSU has outscored its opponents, 20-6, at home this season. On the mound, sophomore Lauren Bay is 4-1 with a 0.19 earned run average and 33 strikeouts in 36 innings. The Cowgirl pitching staff has a 0.55 ERA at home with two shutouts. Since its opening last season, Oklahoma State is 10-4 at the new facility.
