COWGIRLS HOST HAWAII IN NON-CONF ACTION
Oklahoma State (22-20 overall) will host the Hawaii Rainbow Wahine (37-16) on Wednesday, April 25, at 7 p.m. at Cowgirl Stadium in Stillwater. Note that it has been changed from a doubleheader on the original schedule to a single contest due to travel conflicts with UH. Hawaii is receiving enough votes to be the 29th-ranked in the nation in the NFCA Coaches? Poll. OSU leads the all-time series with Hawaii, 6-1.
COMING UP
Oklahoma State travels to College Station, Texas, this weekend for its final conference series with the Texas A&M Aggies, with games at 2 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday. OSU will then host the Wichita State Shockers on Wednesday, April 2, at 6 p.m. at Cowgirl Stadium before the Big 12 Tournament, which begins on May 9 at ASA/Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.
LAST TIME OUT
Lauren Bay threw a complete-game shutout in game one, and then had the game-winning hit in game two as the Oklahoma State Cowgirls swept the Texas Longhorns, 4-0 and 4-3, Saturday afternoon. Bay gave up just one hit, a bunt single, while striking out nine and walking four in OSU?s 4-0 win in the first game. The middle of the Cowgirl lineup provided the offensive spark, as OSU scored all four runs in the bottom of the sixth. Bay led off the inning with a walk, and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Danielle Thomas. After reaching third on a wild pitch, Bay scored on a triple by Amanda Hayes. Ryan Realmuto followed that with an RBI double, scoring Hayes, and Stephanie Hodges responded with a home run, her second of the season, scoring Realmuto. Those three hits were the only three OSU had in the game. In game two, Bay came on in relief of starter Tiffany Paper with the game tied at 3-3. Bay threw the final five innings, scattering three hits while striking out six, as the Cowgirls won, 4-3, in nine innings. In picking up the win, Bay improved her record to 12-10. Oklahoma State scored its first two runs in the second inning. With two outs and Hodges on first with a single, Jenny Kipp was hit by a pitch. Casey O?Neill hit a sharp grounder to third, and Melissa Malchi was charged with an error after hitting O?Neill in the back. Both Hodges and Kipp scored on the play as the ball rolled into foul territory. OSU added a run in the third when Bay led off with a bunt single, and scored on a single by Hayes. The Longhorns tied the game in the top of the fourth when Paper gave up a combination of four hits and a walk to five straight hitters. After four scoreless innings, Bay drove in O?Neill from second with a double down the leftfield line. It was Bay?s fourth game-winning hit of the season.
SCOUTING REPORT ON HAWAII
Hawaii is 37-16 overall this season and receiving votes in the NFCA Coaches? Poll. The Rainbow Wahine are led by junior Natalie Gonzales, who is batting .339 and leads the team in runs (24), hits (60) and stolen bases (nine). Sophomore Kate Judd leads the team with five home runs and 23 RBIs. Freshman Felicity Witt has thrown 171 innings for UH, and is 17-10 with a 1.43 ERA. Senior Desiree Duran is 13-4 with a 1.53 ERA in 119 innings.
SERIES WITH HAWAII

HEAD COACH SANDY FISCHER
Sandy Fischer is in her 23rd season at the helm of the Oklahoma State Cowgirls, and enters Wednesday?s game with a career record of 894-370-3. Her NCAA record is 846-354-3, making her the third-winningest active coach among NCAA coaches. She needs just two more victories to move into fourth place on the all-time victories list, past UCLA?s Sharon Backus, who had 847 wins in her career. Coach Fischer has led OSU to nine conference championships, eight regional championships and nine Women?s College World Series appearances. Under her guidance, 62 players have been named first-team all-conference, while 28 have gone on to earn All-America status.
ASSOCIATE HEAD COACH MARGARET REBENAR
In her 22nd year as the top assistant coach for Oklahoma State is Margaret Rebenar. Since her naming as the Associate Head Coach for the Cowgirls, Rebenar has accumulated a 326-162 record at Oklahoma State. Last season, she was inducted into the NFCA/ Easton ?300-win? club. Rebenar guided the Cowgirls to a regional championship and a College World Series appearance in 1998.
COWGIRL SOFTBALL ON THE AIR
The remainder of Oklahoma State?s home games, as well as all postseason games, will be broadcast live on Stillwater Radio. Bill VanNess will provide the play-by-play for the third-consecutive season. The Hawaii game will be aired on 105.5 FM, while the game vs. Wichita State on April 2 will be on 780 AM.
MISCELLANEOUS NOTES
Sophomore Lauren Bay leads the team in two-out RBIs with 11, followed by freshman Jade Lindly and senior Amanda Hayes, who each have eight ... Oklahoma State has scored 21 of its 114 runs this season in the first inning, 24 in the third and 20 in the fourth ... OSU has 51 multiple-hit games this season as a team, including a 4-for-4 performance by junior Angela Veronesi vs. Utah in the Red Desert Classic ... Freshman Jade Lindly leads the Cowgirls in pinch-hitting, going 2-for-3 this season ... The Cowgirls have 82 called strikeouts, or 34 percent of their total strikeouts ... Sophomore catcher Ryan Realmuto has thrown out 18-of-68 attempted base stealers, or 26.5 percent.
