Oklahoma State's men's and women's tennis teams will travel down I-35 to Waco, Texas, on Wednesday, April 25, to play in the Big 12 Tournament.
The Cowgirls will play their final regular-season match on Wednesday at 5 p.m., against Missouri in Waco. The match was originally scheduled for April 4, but due to inclimate weather, the match was rescheduled.
The Cowgirls (19-3, 9-1) and Tigers (13-9, 2-8) have met 18 times previously, with OSU winning 17 of the matches. Missouri's only win came in 1978, when they defeated OSU 9-0.
Should the Cowgirls defeat Missouri, they will be Big 12 Co-Champions with Texas, but will be the No. 2 seed in the tournament. Texas earned the No. 1 seed by defeating Okalhoma State earlier this year.
The top four seeds earned a bye in the tournament. Top-seeded Texas will play either Colorado, the eight seed, or Texas Tech, the No. 9 seed, in the top half of the bracket, while Oklahoma State will be the second seed in the bottom half of the bracket.
The Cowgirls will take on the winner of Kansas, the No. 7 seed, and Missouri, the 10th seed, on Friday at 4 p.m.
Baylor will be the No. 3 seed in the tournament and will play either Nebraska, the sixth seed, or Iowa State, the 11th seed. The No. 4 seed went to Texas A&M. The Aggies will play either fifth-seeded Kansas State or 12th-seeded Oklahoma.
In the men's bracket, top-seeded Texas A&M received the only bye and will play either eighth-seeded Texas Tech or Oklahoma, the ninth seed.
Oklahoma State won its final six matches of the season, earning the No.4 seed. OSU will play Kansas, the fifth seed, for the third time this year.
The second-seeded Baylor Bears will take on Colorado, the seventh seed, while Texas, the third seed, will take on the sixth-seeded Nebraska Cornhuskers.
