Oklahoma State senior Maria Galoustova-Phillips has been chosen as the Big 12 Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played from Apr. 9-15, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Phillips, who grew up in Moscow, Russia, before coming to OSU to play tennis, extended her winning streak to 12 consecutive matches in singles with a pair of wins over 36th-ranked Jahnavi Parekh of Baylor and Alena Jecminkova of Kansas State last week.
The Oklahoma State ace united with Ashleigh Dolman in No. 1 doubles to win two more matches last week and to run their doubles record to 14-4 after 12 straight victories in dual play.
Oklahoma State's last Big 12 Player of the Week came last year when sophomore Linda Faltynkova won it.
Oklahoma State returns to action on Apr. 21, as they travel to Ames, Iowa, to take on Iowa State.
