Cowgirls to Entertain Baylor and Kansas State this weekend

Oklahoma State's 16th-ranked women's tennis team hosts No. 17 Baylor and No. 36 Kansas State this weekend. The Cowgirls (15-3, 5-1 Big 12) will play Baylor (16-4, 6-1 Big 12) on Saturday and Kansas State (10-6, 6-1 Big 12) on Sunday.
The Cowgirls and Bears have met four times previously, with Baylor winning all four matches.
OSU and Kansas State have met 24 times previously, with OSU winning 22 of the matches. Kansas State's last win came in 1998, when they beat the Cowgirls, 7-2, in Manhattan, Kansas. OSU won the last meeting, 7-2, in Manhattan.
In OSU's last match, the Cowgirls swept all three doubles matches and won five-of-six singles matches en route to a 6-1 victory over Colorado.
Baylor travels to College Station to take on 12th-ranked Texas A&M on Thursday, while Kansas State takes on OU on Saturday.
The Cowgirls top half of the lineup is led by senior Maria Galoustova-Phillips at the No. 1 position. Phillips has won her last 10 matches, eight of which has been in straight sets, improving her record to 12-4.
Sophomore Linda Faltynkova rounds the top half of the lineup at the No. 3 spot. The Uhersky Brod, Czech Republic native has won her last nine matches, improving her record to 15-2. In Faltynkova's 15 wins, 86 percent has been in straight sets.
Phillips and junior Ashleigh Dolman have teamed up to fill the No. 1 doubles spot. The 17th-ranked duo has won its last 10 matches, improving their record to 12-4, while junior Dominika Olszewska and sophomore Kate Vasylyeva fills the No. 3 spot and boasts an 11-4 record.
After posting a 3-3 mark in the fall, Faltynkova and freshman Katarzyna Kolodynska have won their last 18 matches, improving their record to 18-0, at the No. 2 spot.
Match times are slated to start at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday at the DeBois Tennis Center.
