COWGIRLS FACE TULSA GOLDEN HURRICANE
Oklahoma State (15-9) will travel to Sand Springs, Okla., Tuesday afternoon for a 4 p.m. game with the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. OSU is coming off a 2-1 victory over Oklahoma City last Friday. TU is 6-18 this season after going 2-2 this past weekend in the Holiday Inn Invitational in Lawrence, Kan.
LAST TIME OUT
Cowgirl hurler Lauren Bay threw a one-hitter while striking out eight as OSU defeated OCU, 2-1, at Cowgirl Stadium. Senior Amanda Hayes went 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI. The win improved OSU's record over the Stars to 39-6-1.
COMING UP
Oklahoma State opens Big 12 Conference action by hosting the Kansas Jayhawks in a twinbill starting at 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at Cowgirl Stadium. OSU will host the Texas Tech Red Raiders this weekend with single games on Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.

Sophomore Lauren Bay leads the team in two-out RBIs with nine, followed by freshman Jade Lindly, who has eight ... Freshman Calli Behmer is batting .800 with runners in scoring position (4-for-5) ... Junior Angela Veronesi has reached base successfully on 8-of-9 plate appearances when leading off an inning ... Senior Amanda Hayes is on a nine-game hitting streak, the second-longest of the season for any Cowgirl (freshman Danielle Thomas had a 10-game streak earlier this year) ... Oklahoma State has scored 20 of its 88 runs this season in the first inning ... OSU has 35 multiple-hit games this season as a team, including a 4-for-4 performance by Veronesi vs. Utah in the Red Desert Classic ... SERIES WITH TULSA
Oklahoma State leads the all-time series with Tulsa, 13-2, although the Golden Hurricane has won two of the last four contests. After two games in 1979, the series took a 14-year hiatus when Tulsa dropped the program. It resumed in 1993. OSU is 3-0 all-time vs. TU in Tulsa, with both losses coming in Stillwater. ABOUT THE GOLDEN HURRICANE
Tulsa is 6-18 this season, and has yet to play a game at home this season. As a team, the Golden Hurricane is batting .209 and has scored 53 runs in 24 games. TU is led by Kari Curtis, a Stillwater, Okla., native who is batting .269. On the mound, Tulsa has two starters with 10 games under their belts. Jenny Magill is 6-7 this season with a 2.93 earned run average, while Amy Van Huss is 0-9 with a 4.20 ERA.
ABOUT THE KANSAS JAYHAWKS
Looking ahead to Wednesday's doubleheader with the Kansas Jayhawks, KU is 12-13 this season and 2-0 on the road. The Jayhawks are led by Erin Garvey, who is batting .412 with 33 hits in 80 at-bats. On the mound, Kansas has three players that have started, including Kara Pierce, who is 8-5 with a 2.25 earned run average, and Kirsten Milhoan, who is 4-6 with a 3.87 ERA. Kelly Campbell has started four games this season, and is 0-2 with a 4.45 ERA.

Lauren Bay - The lefthanded hurler has a 1.01 earned run average in her last six appearances and a 4-1 record. She has thrown four complete games with two shutouts. She also has 43 strikeouts in 34-2/3 innings, an average of 8.7 Ks per game.

COWGIRL SOFTBALL ON THE AIR
Beginning with the Kansas series, the remainder of Oklahoma State's home games, as well as the OU game in Norman, will be broadcast live on Stillwater Radio. Bill VanNess will provide the play-by-play for the third-consecutive season. Most games will be broadcast on 780 AM, with a few exceptions. Both OU games will be on 105.5 FM, as will the Tulsa game on April 11. All postseason games will also be aired on Stillwater Radio.
