Oklahoma State's 26th-ranked women's tennis team swept all three doubles matches and all six singles matches en route to a 7-0 victory over Kansas.
"It was a great win for us," head coach Julius Lubicz-Majewski said. "I am very proud of the girls. They didn't back down because of the weather and they continued to fight even when they knew we won."
Sophomore Linda Flatynkova and freshman Katarzyna Kolodynska recorded their 14th cosecutive victory at the No. 2 position by beating Lisa and Cheryl Mallaiah, 8-1, while junior Dominika Olszewska and Kate Vasylyeva eased past Kim Lorenz and Emily Haylock, 8-5.
The Cowgirls 27th-ranked doubles team of senior Maria Galoustova-Phillips and junior Ashleigh Dolman notched the first team point by defeating Courtney and Kristen Steinbock, 8-2, at the No. 1 position.
Faltynkova recorded her fifth consecutive victory, improving her to 11-2 on the season by defeating Lisa Mallaiah in straight sets 6-1, 6-1. The Cowgirls' 88th-ranked senior Maria Phillips recorded her ninth victory of the year by defeating Cheryl Mallaiah in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4.
The Cowgirls return to action on Sunday, Mar., 25 when they host Southern Methodist at the DeBois Center at 11 a.m.
