Softball Splits With NEO

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's softball team split a doubleheader scrimmage with Northeastern Oklahoma A&M today at Cowgirl Field.

The Cowgirls lost a 2-0 lead in the top of the seventh inning as NEO put a two-spot up to send the game into extra innings. The Lady Norse then added two more in the eighth to escape with a 4-2 win.

In the nightcap, the Cowgirls avenged the earlier loss with a 3-1 win. Amanda Hayes provided the offense, slamming a two-run home run in the third inning to propel OSU to the win.

Oklahoma State returns to action tomorrow with another scrimmage doubleheader as Connors State Junior College ventures to Stillwater. First pitch is slated for 2:30 p.m. with the second game to follow at 4:30 p.m.
