Dallas, Texas - Amanda Hayes, a senior on Oklahoma State's softball team, was named the Big 12 Conference's softball Player of the Week, it was announced today, by the league office.
Hayes, a senior leftfielder from Clyde, Texas, had a .571 batting average for the week, going 4-of-7 in a rain-shortened weekend against Mississippi and Southwest Missouri State in Stillwater. In the 6-0 victory over Ole Miss, she hit a three-run, bases-loaded double to insure the victory.
In the two victories, Hayes had four RBIs, two stolen bases, an on-base percentage of .625 and a .714 slugging percentage.
Oklahoma State travels to St. George, Utah, this weekend to compete in the Red Desert Classic, hosted by the University of Utah.
