Cowgirl Tennis Squad falls to No. 5 Texas

Oklahoma State's 30th-ranked women's tennis team lost its first Big 12 match this season, falling to 5th-ranked Texas 5-2 in Austin.
"I am very proud of the girls," head coach Julius Lubicz-Majewski said. "Texas is a great team and the girls hung with them."
The Cowgirls captured the first team point by winning two of three doubles matches. However, the Longhorns took the first five singles matches en route to a 5-2 victory.
"This was a tough weekend," Lubicz-Majewski said. "When you play two top 30 teams in two days it drains you physically and emotionally."
The Cowgirls tallied their first Big 12 victory this season when they defeated Texas A&M in College Station 4-2 on Friday.
The Cowgirls are now 5-3 and 1-1 in Big 12 play, while Texas is 6-0 overall and 5-0 in Conference play.
OSU opens its home schedule on March 3 when TCU comes to Stillwater.
