Women's Netters Advance to Consolation Semifinals

Junior Linda Faltynkova and sophomore Katia Kolodynska, the No. 2 seed, went 1-1 on Thursday in the women's doubles bracket at the Omni Hotels National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships in Dallas, Texas.
The duo fell to Duke's Julie DeRoo and Kelly McCain 8-6 in the first round. DeRoo and McCain are currently ranked No. 37 in doubles.
They came back strong by defeating Southern Methodist's Lynsie Jones and Nadia Vaughang 9-7 in the first round of the consolation bracket.
Fatlynkova and Kolodynska will return to action on Friday when they face Kendall Cline and Aniela Mojzis of North Carolina in the consolation semifinals. The duo from North Carolina are ranked No. 47 in doubles.
Doubles play will continue Friday afternoon.
