Cowboys to Defend District V Title on Saturday

The Cowboys hope to add their sixth district title in seven years on Nov. 10th.
The top two finishers in District V will automatically qualify for the NCAA Championships in Greenville, S.C. on Nov. 19th. The Cowboys will be competing against over 20 schools in the meet. The teams include Big 12 foes Nebraska, Oklahoma, Missouri, Iowa State, Kansas and Kansas State.
The Cowboys are coming off a second-place finish in the Big 12 Championships on Oct. 27th. The Cowboys were led by sophomore Jason Woolhouse, who placed eighth. His eighth place finish earned him All Big 12 honors.
Cowboys who will be running are juniors Kevin Connolly, Jon Cordes, Ben Lake and Ben Sigle. The sophomores include Derek Tate, Jason Woolhouse, Chris McWatters, as an alternate. The lone freshman that will be running Ewen North.
If the Cowboys qualify they will compete in the NCAA Cross Country Championship in Greenville, S.C. on Nov. 19th.
