Cowboy Cross Country to Compete for National Championship

GREENVILLE, S.C. (OSU Athletics ) - Oklahoma State's men's cross country team will run at the NCAA Championship Monday in Greenville, S.C.

The men's race will start at 11 a.m., followed by the women's race at 12:15 p.m. The 10,000-meter race will feature the top 31 teams from around the country. The top-two finishers from each regional received automatic bids. Thirteen teams received an at-large bid for the championship.

The Cowboys earned a spot in the championships by placing second at the District V championships on Nov. 10th. This will mark the ninth straight time the cowboys will compete at the national event. The Cowboys have finished in the top 16 the past eight years.

Seven Cowboys will be running, including sophomore All-Big 12 selection Jason Woolhouse. Woolhouse will be joined by Ben Lake, Derek Tate, Ben Sigle, Chris McWatters, Ewen North and Kevin Connolly.

This will be the last meet of the season for the Cowboy harriers.
