Cowgirls Set to Open Hunt Seat Season

Oklahoma State's women's equestrian team is set to open the hunt seat portion of the season this weekend when they travel to Canyon, Texas.
"We are anxious to get the season underway," assistant coach Susane Flaig said. "I am eager to see how the newcomers will compete in their first show as well as the returners."
The Cowgirls will be one of 10 schools competing. Texas A&M, who finished the season last year ranked No. 5, Kansas State, and West Texas A&M will be among the teams competing in the three regional shows.
The first show will start on Friday at 6 p.m., the second show will start on Saturday at 10 a.m., and the third show will start on Sunday at 8 p.m.
The rest of the field includes LSU, Texas, Trinity, Sul Ross State, Tarlton and Texas Tech.
The Cowgirls will open the home portion of the season on Dec. 1-2 with a pair of hunt seat shows.
